Macrae & Dick are supporting National Tyre Safety Month by offering a FREE Tyre Health Check and have had their campaign endorsed by NOSDAT.
1 October 2013
National Tyre Safety Month runs from the 1st – 31st October and was set up by TyreSafe to encourage motorists to check their tyres at least once a month to ensure that their pressures are correct and that there is no wear and tear to the tyres.
The campaign is to bring tyre safety to the forefront of motorist minds and reduce the number of accidents and deaths on the road that are attributed to unsafe tyres.
Macrae & Dick are supporting the campaign by offering motorists a FREE tyre health check to ensure that their tyres meet current regulations and that their tyres are road worthy before the winter.
Macrae & Dick can give advice on correct tyre pressures, look at the condition of the tyres and advise if they need changed.
Tyres that are in good condition and have the correct pressure ensure that the motorist not only remains safe whilst on the road but also reduces the running costs of the car including reduced fuel bills, longer tyre life and less CO2 emissions.
James Hamilton, Group Marketing Manager said ‘Macrae & Dick are delighted to support Tyre Safety Month by offering free tyre health checks.
We believe that by looking after your tyres you are looking after the safety of you, your passengers and other motorists.
We would also like to thank NOSDAT for supporting the campaign’
Highlands & Islands MSP David Stewart said,
“I am delighted on behalf of NOSDAT, to be here launching another road safety campaign with local well known and respected car dealer Macrae &Dick.
"This time we are focussing the driver on the tyres of their vehicles.
"Only four small pieces of rubber are what keeps you on the road, so this rubber should be in very good condition.
"With winter approaching all drivers should check their tyres and if in doubt as to their legality, then pop along to Rapid Fit at Macrae& Dick or any approved retailer and get your tyres checked”.
